Role Description The Account Director is a contract position based in Sydney, NSW, in a hybrid working model that combines on-site collaboration with flexible work-from-home days. In this role, you will oversee key client accounts, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and act as the primary point of contact to ensure strategic and commercial objectives are met. You will lead account planning, identify growth opportunities, and partner with internal creative and technology teams to deliver high-quality campaigns and experiences on time and within budget. The role involves guiding day-to-day project activities, reviewing work against client expectations, managing timelines and resources, and proactively resolving issues as they arise. You will ensure all work aligns with SLIK’s high standards.
Qualifications
- Strong account management skills, including building client relationships, understanding client objectives, and managing multiple accounts or workstreams.
- Proven team management and team leadership capabilities, with experience coaching and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated sales and growth mindset, including identifying upsell opportunities, contributing to proposals, and supporting new business efforts.
- Solid project management skills, including planning, prioritization, budgeting, and coordination of digital or creative projects.
- Experience in a digital, creative, or integrated agency environment, preferably working with innovative or technology-driven brands.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to present work, lead client discussions, and negotiate priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
