Required
- An MA or MFA in Studio Art is required by the time of initial appointment.
- Candidate should have experience teaching university level digital art and/or professional experience in digital art and design is a plus.
- The position serves the Art program’s majors in Art Education and Digital Art.
Preferred
- A background in art history is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- The teaching load includes digital media and undergraduate courses in digital media, including, but not limited to, 2D/3D design, animation and web design.
- Collaborate with the Department of Visual and Performing Arts to stay abreast of developments in the art world and inspire non-majors to pursue a major or minor in art.
- Develop active partnerships with local and regional artists and arts organizations.
- Create inclusive and engaging learning environments for a diverse student body; experience working with first-generation students is desirable.
- Participate in a program and department expanding current fine arts facilities.
- Support the community and region with a collaborative approach.
