It operates four Special Education Schools for students aged 7 to 21, a Student Care Centre for children aged 7 to 18, and a Centre for Adults for individuals aged 16 and above, serving over 1,200 beneficiaries annually. APSN’s database includes more than 6,000 beneficiaries, including students, trainees, and alumni, reflecting a broad and active community. The organization continuously expands its network to better understand and meet the needs of its beneficiaries. APSN is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC) under the Singapore Income Tax Act, enabling it to receive tax-deductible donations.
Role Description The Assistant Manager, Partnerships and Fundraising is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing partnerships with corporations, foundations, community organizations, and individual donors to support APSN’s programs and beneficiaries. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing fundraising strategies, preparing proposals and grant applications, coordinating donor engagement activities, and maintaining accurate donor and partner records. The role involves organizing fundraising events and campaigns, collaborating with internal teams to develop impact stories and reports, and ensuring timely stewardship and acknowledgment of supporters. The Assistant Manager will also monitor fundraising performance, prepare regular reports, and contribute to long-term relationship-building that strengthens APSN’s visibility and resource base.
Qualifications
- Strong partnership development and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Fundraising, sponsorship, and grant management skills, including the ability to plan campaigns, prepare proposals, and track contributions and outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, with the ability to craft persuasive fundraising messages, reports, and presentations.
- Project and event management skills, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and post-event evaluation for fundraising and outreach activities.
- Analytical and planning abilities, with competence in using data and CRM or fundraising systems to monitor performance and inform strategy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and strong time management.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Work, or a related field; prior experience in the non-profit or social service sector is an advantage.
