Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Barista will prepare and serve espresso-based and other coffee beverages, ensuring consistent quality, proper presentation, and adherence to food safety standards. Daily responsibilities include grinding coffee, operating espresso machines, steaming milk, preparing light food items, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation and customer area. The role involves greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, answering product questions, and recommending menu items. The Barista will also support inventory checks, restocking supplies, and collaborating with team members to provide efficient and friendly service.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage calmly and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, beverage preparation, and basic coffee knowledge or a willingness to learn.
- Clear and courteous communication skills for interacting with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
- Preparation skills, including safe handling of ingredients, basic food hygiene, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours (including weekends or holidays), and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Previous cafe, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Openness to ongoing training in specialty coffee, equipment operation, and customer experience.
