About Our Client

Kathryn Rose Consultancy is partnering with a dynamic, forward-thinking bid consultancy dedicated to breathing fresh life into bid writing and complex projects. Representing clients of all sizes across a variety of industries, including construction, health and social care, and technology, they have built a fantastic reputation for delivering results with a nimble, values-driven approach.

The Role

As a Bid Writer / Manager, you will take a leading role in managing the end-to-end bidding lifecycle while remaining hands-on with content creation and writing / reviewing. You will support diverse clients with exciting new opportunities across multiple sectors. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who loves the fast-paced nature of the bidding process, can manage multiple moving parts, and wants to join a passionate team that believes in making a difference.

This is a fully remote, full-time role with an evolving, flexible schedule. Our client heavily emphasises trust: as long as the job gets done right, you are empowered to manage your own time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid Management & Strategy: Oversee the end-to-end proposal process, from initial opportunity analysis to final submission. Define win themes and ensure all compliance criteria are met.
  • Content Creation & Writing: Develop, write, review, and edit persuasive bid submissions, turning technical data and project metrics into a compelling narrative that maximises scoring.
  • Sector-Hopping Portfolio: Manage and write bids for a diverse range of clients and industries, keeping your finger on the pulse of sector-specific requirements.
  • Deadline Ownership: Protect the bid schedule. Ensure every submission meets strict deadlines and aligns perfectly with procurement best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor feedback on submissions, lead post-bid reviews, analyse past successes or misses, and refine processes to consistently drive a higher win rate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven success in a Bid Writing, Proposal Management, or Bid Management role, with a strong track record of securing wins across varied sectors.
  • Superb Narrative Skills: You are a highly engaging writer who can craft polished, concise copy that grabs an evaluator's attention, balanced with the strategic mind to manage a bid timeline.
  • Uncompromising Eye for Detail: You spot compliance gaps and typos from a mile away and know how to map a response perfectly against evaluation criteria.
  • Research & Analytical Skills: You thrive on digging into data, trends, and competitor insights to build data-backed, high-impact bids.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Office 365 and CRM systems (experience with SalesFlare is a bonus). Keen to adopt emerging technologies, like AI tools, to optimise the bid process.

Why Join Them?

  • Vibrant Culture: A spirited, bold environment that is big on celebrating wins.
  • Growth & Leadership: Unrivaled exposure to multiple industries with the autonomy to manage and shape the bid function.
  • Flexible & Remote: True flexible working designed to fit around your life and client needs.
  • Great Perks: £45,000 base + performance bonus, and 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • An Inclusive Team: The client is a proud Disability Committed Employer and is currently on the journey to gaining the All Equals Charter.

Structure & Support

This role reports directly to the agency's Director. While the role is fully remote, the internal culture is deeply supportive, collaborative, and highly connected.
