Job Description
Work with the BTN Production Manager to produce 220+ BTN+/Student U streams, arranging and monitoring transmissions between eight athletics venues. Oversee the BTN Student U Internship program with over 40 students. Create Tech Books for each show and handle moving, setting up, and tearing down equipment. Troubleshoot, service, and maintain broadcasting equipment and coordinate with IT to open proper network ports for streams.
Work with university communications, journalism, and production programs to provide training and real‑world opportunities. Assist in facilitating training of student/freelancers, play‑by‑play talent, color analysts, sideline reporters, and students in production concepts and workflow, including camera operation, graphics, scorebox, replay, director, and producer roles. Capture press conferences and media days for basketball and football and feed content back to BTN.
Responsibilities
- Produce 220+ BTN+/Student U streams.
- Arrange and monitor stream transmissions between athletics venues.
- Oversee the BTN Student U Internship program.
- Create Tech Books for each show.
- Setup, move, and tear down equipment for each stream.
- Troubleshoot and maintain broadcasting equipment.
- Coordinate with IT for network port configuration.
- Provide training to students, freelancers, and on‑air talent.
- Capture and feed content from press conferences and media days.
Minimum
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification or vocational training preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (2–4 years preferred).
