Cannabis Innovation and Procurement Specialist Jobs in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada at BOLD Growth

Title: Cannabis Innovation and Procurement Specialist

Company: BOLD Growth

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

BOLD Growth is a small craft-cannabis company providing consistent and high-quality products in the extremely competitive cannabis industry. Our success can be attributed to the collaboration of each of BOLD’s hardworking and dedicated team members. At BOLD, we pride ourselves on producing best-in-class craft cannabis products that outperform our competitors.

At BOLD, we're always chasing what's next – not just managing what exists. This is a hands-on position for someone who gets fired up by new ideas, loves to experiment, and wants a real say in what we bring to market.

You'll be part of a small, collaborative team where ideas move quickly and make it to market. We're looking for someone passionate and knowledgeable about cannabis, with a sharp eye for the product experience and an instinct for what works and what doesn't – to help improve what we have and build what comes next.

What you’ll be doing

This role is all about taking ideas and turning them into real, sellable products. From early concept to final launch, you’ll help shape what BOLD brings to market next.

  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the cannabis market
  • Develop and test new product ideas – from concept through to shelf-ready
  • Experiment with new formats, inputs, and combinations to see what performs
  • Comfortable evaluating products you design and providing thoughtful, experience-based feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Source cannabis materials from external partners
  • Build an understanding of supplier quality, pricing, and product consistency
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to bring products to life
  • Conduct product trials, document results, and refine based on findings
  • Contribute to packaging ideas and overall product experience
  • Stay current on cannabis trends, formats, and innovation across the industry
  • Work within Health Canada regulations with support from internal teams
  • Summarize findings and recommendations in a clear, practical way for leadership

What sets you apart

  • You’re genuinely interested in cannabis and excited by the idea of creating something new
  • You think creatively and enjoy testing ideas – including ones that are a bit outside the box
  • You’re comfortable evaluating the products you design and using that experience to make them better
  • You can hold your own in conversations with growers and suppliers – you understand quality, pricing, and what’s worth bringing in
  • You think like a consumer – balancing product quality, cost, and market potential
  • You understand production realities and can adapt ideas to fit within operational capabilities
  • You take initiative and naturally move ideas forward
  • You communicate clearly and can turn ideas and results into actionable recommendations

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in cannabis (or other CPG)
  • Exposure to product development, procurement, and supply chain
  • Strong understanding of cannabis products and formats
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented, with a practical and solutions focused mindset

What this role looks like

  • Full time, Monday to Friday (regular daytime hours)
  • Based in Saskatoon (on site with some travel)
  • Occasional evenings/weekends depending on launches and priorities
  • Hands on involvement in product testing, sourcing, and development
  • Expected hourly wage range $22 – $26
