Responsible for performing preventive and corrective carpentry work, including repairing and maintaining furniture, doors, cabinets, wooden fixtures, and interior finishes. Supports renovation projects, responds to maintenance requests, and ensures hotel facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to Avani brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wooden furniture, fixtures, doors, cabinets, windows, and other carpentry-related items.
- Repair, install, and replace damaged wooden structures and furnishings in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, and back-of-house areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest-related repair work.
- Support renovation, refurbishment, and improvement projects as assigned.
- Inspect hotel facilities and identify carpentry defects requiring repair or replacement.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel policies and engineering standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good condition.
- Coordinate with other Engineering team members and departments to complete maintenance work with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
- Record completed work and report maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Follow health, safety, fire, and environmental procedures at all times.
