As part of our expansion efforts in Malaysia, we are looking for dynamic professionals to strengthen our partnerships and customer acquisition strategy in this key market.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be directly responsible for acquiring, managing, and maintaining relationships with key channel partners in Malaysia who can introduce clients to WorldFirst. You will work closely with these partners to drive referrals into the business, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) and growth targets.
Partnerships may include Referral, Affiliate, or Enterprise relationships. You will also represent WorldFirst across the local ecosystem — building brand awareness with business associations, partners, and industry networks to make WorldFirst top-of-mind among SME and corporate clients in Malaysia.
Core Responsibilities
- Acquire, manage, and maintain relationships with key channel partners capable of referring clients to WorldFirst.
- Work closely with partners to drive referrals and achieve business KPIs.
- Manage Referral, Affiliate, or Enterprise partnership models.
- Connect, manage, and maintain relationships with business associations to promote WorldFirst’s brand awareness.
- Stay up-to-date with WorldFirst’s products and services, promoting them accurately and professionally to partners and their clients.
- Make regular contact with the partner network, provide feedback, and deliver business solutions.
- Represent WorldFirst in various settings — from trade shows to partner webinars and other marketing activities.
- Demonstrate proven problem-solving and strategic execution skills, delivering value for partners and clients.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and activation of partners, securing buy-in from senior stakeholders for key partnerships.
- Work jointly with partners and internal teams to craft marketing materials, assess product needs, and provide training and support (both on-site and remotely).
- Develop and execute strategies to drive engagement and client referrals, backed by data and best practices.
- Communicate confidently with partners at different seniority levels, including contract negotiations and client portfolio discussions.
- Maintain discipline and consistency in processes to ensure Management Information (MI) remains accurate and up-to-date for data-driven decision-making.
- Represent WorldFirst with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm in a variety of business environments.
Requirements
- Proven track record in a consultative sales environment, selling fintech or technology solutions to the e-commerce or international import/export ecosystem.
- Existing network in relevant industries or associations is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and preferable proficiency in Mandarin
- Demonstrated success in exceeding demanding targets and achieving measurable growth outcomes.
- Proven ability to develop and execute partner engagement and referral strategies.
- Skilled in building trust-based relationships and engaging with partners across various seniority levels.
- Disciplined, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a willingness to refine processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-performing environment within a leading global fintech brand.
- Frequent business travel within Malaysia may be required.
