Client Account Manager Jobs in Bucharest, Romania at UpTrek

Title: Client Account Manager

Company: UpTrek

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Client Account Manager (Partner Success)

This position and its responsibilities are conducted in English and on-site only (Bucharest, Cotroceni office). A native/bilingual English language level is mandatory.

About Us

UpTrek is an online travel booking platform helping people discover and book exceptional retreats and experiences. We work with artists, writers, and educators, from globally recognised names to beloved online communities, to bring their audiences together in some of Europe's most inspiring destinations.

You will be working on-site from our office in Bucharest (Cotroceni) and will be an integral part of the wider Sales team.

Please note that the job is full-time; unfortunately, we cannot offer remote, hybrid, or part-time arrangements for this role. We are not looking for freelance collaborations at this time.

About the Job

As a Partner Success Manager, you'll build and maintain the relationships that keep our instructors engaged and thriving. This is a role for someone who focuses on fostering long-term partnerships rather than pushing for immediate results. Our instructors are experts in their craft and at building student communities. The best person for this role understands their communities and brings the commercial instinct to help their retreats succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of active instructor accounts, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle;

  • Drive re-booking conversations and identify opportunities to grow account value over time, including re-engaging dormant accounts;

  • Support instructors through active retreat cycles, using performance data (GA4) to advise on promotional approach and improve results;

  • Identify accounts at risk of disengagement and act before relationships deteriorate;

  • Conduct structured feedback calls after retreats, and share insights with internal teams to improve the overall partner experience;

  • Generate warm referrals by approaching satisfied instructors for introductions to other creators;

  • Manage administrative tasks such as sending invoice requests and contracts;

  • Keep HubSpot and internal tools (such as Trello, Excel Sheets) accurately updated with account status, risks, and next steps;

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Content, Retreat Coordination, and the wider Sales team to deliver a consistent instructor experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in account management, customer success, or a client-facing role;

  • Native or bilingual English proficiency;

  • Demonstrated experience working with a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), Google Suite Tools (e.g. Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.), task management platforms (e.g. Trello), understanding of internet safety, cloud-based tools, and basic troubleshooting;

  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills (both verbal and written);

  • Must be legally authorised to work in Romania and able to work on-site in Bucharest (this position does not offer hybrid or remote working arrangements).

Good, but not essential skills:

  • Prior experience owning a client portfolio, particularly in an international context;

  • Experience advising and consulting clients on performance or growth, not just managing them;

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools, turning data into practical strategy;

  • Background in digital marketing, either in-house or in an advisory capacity;

  • Experience working with clients in creative industries or non-corporate contexts.

About You

  • You’re comfortable with a role where depth matters more than volume. Your portfolio won’t be the largest in the room, but each account requires high-touch attention, keeping up with where an instructor is in their life, their career, and their calendar.

  • You’re patient, persistent, and know how to work with people whose focus is their craft rather than their inbox. You can explain things clearly, follow up without being pushy, and move things forward without rushing the relationship.

  • You’re responsive by default. Touchpoints in this role are frequent and often reactive, and you’re expected to reply to instructors in a timely manner.

  • You’re comfortable having data-informed conversations with clients, even if you’re not an analyst. You can read performance numbers and turn them into practical advice.

Experience is important, but what we really look for is someone who understands that relationships are built over time, not closed in a single call.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)

As this role will involve leading calls with primarily US-based instructors, some calls will be scheduled outside of standard working hours. These will be offset through adjusted working hours on the same or following day, as agreed with your manager.

What we offer:

  • 7,500 RON – 8,500 RON per month. (net, after taxes, all on C.I.M.);
  • Full-time, on-site in Bucharest;
  • Extra days off: mental health days and one long weekend per month (Friday off);
  • Private pension contribution;
  • Comprehensive private medical package (SanoPass);
  • The chance to build long-term relationships with a global community of artists, writers, and educators.

Hiring Process:

  • Application review;
  • Short introductory call (this is not the interview);
  • A practical take-home task relevant to the role;
  • In-person interview;
  • Offer or rejection. You will always hear from us.
