Position: Paid Community Media Internship 2026
Gain valuable experience in community media with a paid internship at CHMA, in partnership with Mount Allison University, starting May 2026. Contribute to broadcast media, audio production, and community engagement.
CHMA is excited to offer two paid internships to current Mount Allison University students. This role emphasizes hands-on learning in programming, audio production, and journalism within a nonprofit arts organization. Interns will collaborate with staff and volunteers while attending weekly staff and monthly board meetings to support community-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily operations of CHMA in a collaborative setting
• Contribute to programming and audio production efforts
• Produce weekly content for on-air and online platforms
• Attend weekly staff and monthly board meetings
• Assist in fulfilling the mandate of community information and entertainment
Requirements:
• Current full-time returning student at Mount Allison University
• Interest in community media and creative projects
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively
• No prior experience required, but volunteer work is valued
• Commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in media
