Position: Creative CG Rigger Opportunity at Brown Bag Films

In this role, you’ll design and maintain character sets that align with artistic and technical needs. Working alongside animators, you will develop innovative motion controls and contribute to secondary dynamics systems that enrich our animations. Your technical acumen will be invaluable in providing feedback to the modeling department to ensure optimal deformation in our characters. Task prioritization with production management and effective troubleshooting are crucial aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and test character rigs ensuring quality
• Collaborate on creating motion control systems
• Develop secondary dynamics to support animation
• Troubleshoot rigging issues and oversee QC checks
• Guide outsource partners with clear rigging directions
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Maya with CG pipeline experience
• Rigging background in broadcast or feature films
• Desirable knowledge of asset tracking tools like Shotgun
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Enthusiasm for diversity in the workplace
