Seraya is looking for a sharp, creatively-driven Creative Strategist to join our growing team in Stockholm. This is a hands-on, hybrid freelance role to begin with, with the opportunity to turn into a full-time hire if there is a strong mutual fit.

The role sits at the intersection of creative strategy, performance creative, ad creation, and client partnership. You will help drive the creative engine behind our clients’ growth, turning insights into concepts, concepts into ads, and ads into learnings that improve performance over time.

You will work shoulder to shoulder with our creative, content, and performance teams, and act as a strategic partner to some of the Nordics’ most exciting brands.

This is not a paid social buying role. You will not be responsible for running campaigns or managing media budgets. Instead, your focus will be on developing creative strategy, creating high-performing ad concepts, and producing the actual assets that help our clients scale.

On your daily to-do list

Creative strategy

  • Own creative strategy across the accounts you work on, from concepting angles and hooks to building creative testing frameworks
  • Turn data, consumer insight, and performance learnings into creative concepts worth testing and scaling
  • Develop ad concepts for paid social, including hooks, scripts, storylines, angles, formats, and visual direction
  • Analyze why ads perform, not just whether they perform, including why certain hooks stop the scroll, why videos keep attention, why statics drive clicks, and why specific angles convert
  • Collaborate with performance teams to understand what is working, what is not, and what should be tested next
  • Brief, guide, and collaborate with creators and content producers to keep a steady stream of testable creative flowing
  • Continuously study ads, creators, formats, trends, and competitor activity to bring fresh inspiration into the work

Ad creation and design

  • Design and produce paid social ads, including static ads, video ads, UGC-style edits, motion assets, and performance creative variations
  • Translate creative ideas into actual assets ready for testing across Meta, TikTok, and other paid social channels
  • Create iterations based on performance data, including new hooks, formats, copy, layouts, edits, and visual directions
  • Bring a strong visual eye to every asset, making sure the work is clear, sharp, on-brand, and built for attention
  • Understand how pacing, first frames, messaging, format, offer, visual hierarchy, creator delivery, and editing choices impact performance
  • Work fast without compromising the quality of the idea, the message, or the craft

Performance creative and data

  • Read creative performance data and turn it into clear recommendations
  • Understand key paid social creative metrics such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, hook rate, hold rate, thumbstop rate, watch time, conversion rate, and creative fatigue
  • Identify patterns in winning and losing creative, then translate those patterns into new concepts, scripts, visuals, edits, and iterations
  • Understand what makes people stop, watch, click, and convert
  • Help build a structured creative testing rhythm across clients
  • Make creative decisions based on both taste and numbers

Client partnership

  • Act as a trusted creative and strategic advisor to your key accounts
  • Lead creative discussions, present concepts, and explain the reasoning behind the work
  • Support onboarding, monthly business reviews, and ongoing client education from a creative perspective
  • Join select sales and pitch meetings to support the commercial side and help build Seraya’s creative offering forward

Who you are

  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in creative strategy, performance creative, ad creation, or content production for paid social
  • Strong ability to design and produce paid social assets, including statics and videos
  • Strong visual and design taste, with a clear understanding of layout, pacing, hierarchy, branding, and what makes an ad feel premium, native, or performance-driven
  • Good understanding of paid social platforms such as Meta and TikTok, especially how creative performs on those channels
  • Comfortable reading performance data, spotting patterns, and understanding why certain ads, hooks, videos, messages, and formats perform better than others
  • Able to turn creative learnings into sharper hypotheses, better hooks, stronger edits, and more effective creative iterations
  • Naturally curious and obsessed with ads, you actively watch, save, study, and break down ads, creators, formats, trends, and inspiration from different brands and markets (extra important!)
  • A strong eye for creative, you see the angle, the hook, the craft, and the commercial purpose, not just the deliverable
  • Commercially minded and proactive, you do not wait to be told
  • Used to working across several clients or projects in parallel in a fast-moving environment
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English

Bonus points

  • Experience with creative analysis tools such as Motion, Atria or Foreplay
  • Background from an agency or a DTC brand
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative production tools
  • Experience creating UGC-style ads, creator briefs, ad scripts, landing page mockups, and performance video edits
  • Living in Stockholm, so that you can sit with us in the office. Not mandatory, just a pleasant thing 🙂
