Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Crew Member role based in Hermiston, OR. The Crew Member will assist with the on-site construction of pre-engineered buildings, including measuring, framing, setting posts, installing metal siding and roofing, and performing general carpentry tasks. Daily work includes loading and unloading materials, operating basic hand and power tools, and following detailed construction plans under the direction of a crew leader or foreman. The role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, maintaining a clean and safe job site, and adhering to all safety procedures and company standards. Crew Members collaborate closely with team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality specifications.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying materials, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely.
- Basic construction or carpentry skills, such as measuring, cutting, and fastening building materials, or a strong interest in learning these skills.
- Experience using common hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, nail guns) and willingness to follow all tool safety guidelines.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with the ability to follow instructions and support crew goals.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company safety policies.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Hermiston, OR job site.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction, agriculture, or related trades is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and to travel locally to different job sites as needed.
