Please See// is looking for a Design Director to lead the creative vision of our Marketing vertical. This is a role for a design leader who thrives at two speeds: the high volume of always-on social content, and the considered pace of campaign work that resonates.
You'll set the visual standard across social campaigns, content systems, and brand work – building the creative frameworks that let a team move fast without losing craft, and elevating the work when the brief demands it.
What You'll Do
Strategic Design Leadership
- Define and drive the design vision for the Marketing vertical, aligned to client brand strategies and business goals
- Build scalable creative frameworks that allow the team to produce platform-native content at volume without compromising craft
- Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and visual culture shifts, and translate these into actionable direction for the team
Creative Quality & Team Leadership
- Own the visual quality bar across all vertical outputs
- Establish review systems suited to both the pace of social production and the ambition of campaign work
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across social, campaign, and content disciplines
- Mentor designers to develop creative judgment, beyond executional skills
AI & Creative Practice
- Develop and maintain a considered point of view on where AI genuinely elevates creative output and where human judgment remains essential
- Help the team build AI literacy as a creative skill, using tools to think better
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in design, with meaningful leadership experience in social, content, or marketing contexts
- A portfolio that demonstrates both platform fluency and creative ambition, work that is culturally aware and craft-led
- Experience building and running teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- A considered, evolving point of view on AI in creative work
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to move between vision-setting, hands-on direction, and systems thinking
