Design Lead, Pharma – Brand & Digital Jobs in New York, NY at Mythology
Title: Design Lead, Pharma – Brand & Digital
Company: Mythology
Location: New York, NY
You've seen what happens when a brand has a beautiful campaign and a website that looks like it came from a different agency — and you've spent your career stopping that from happening. You can build the style guide, design the wireframe, and lay out the deck, and you can hold a thread of visual logic across all of them. That's the muscle we need.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Push the taste bar. Build the brand design system for a DTC pharma product launch — style guide, component library, type and color systems, the rules creative and digital teams use. Lead UX and UI for branded and unbranded websites. Translate campaign concepts into design across decks, comps, mood, and the broader visual world of a platform idea. Concept alongside the creative team when the brief calls for it. Embed with the creative team as the design craft specialist who keeps the system coherent as it scales from launch into year two and beyond.
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years of agency experience designing brand systems, digital execution, and campaign craft. A book that shows 2 or more of these things: a brand guideline you authored, a website you designed, and campaign work where you helped get to the idea, not just dress it. Pharma DTC experience is a plus; so is work in adjacent regulated categories — beauty, wellness, consumer health, biotech, anything where claims matter and constraints are real. Figma fluency. You can hand off a file a developer doesn't hate. Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Google Slides for client work. Comfort with current AI design tools. You can structure a user flow, pressure-test an IA, and think responsively. You don't need to be a researcher, but you know how a real site behaves before it gets built.
NON-NEGOTIABLE
This role is pharma. You don't have to come from it, but you have to want it. The work lives inside MLR, ISI, and FDA constraints that aren't going away — you'll get fluent fast if you aren't already. We need someone who reads that as a creative challenge worth showing up for, not a tax on the work.
