Role Overview

We are seeking a Design Manager who can balance hands-on design execution with project management and team coordination. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design work, optimizing internal processes, and supporting the overall success of the design team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, design-focused, proactive, and comfortable leading projects while contributing to UX, UI, branding, and conceptual design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Team Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to delivery.
  • Create project plans, timelines, milestones, and Gantt charts.
  • Allocate resources effectively across projects and teams.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Conduct daily standups, planning sessions, and project review meetings.
  • Prioritize tasks and adjust plans based on changing project requirements.
  • Maintain project visibility and tracking within ClickUp.
  • Create, maintain, and review timesheets and workload allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams throughout project execution.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies and proactively drive resolutions.

Design Leadership

  • Lead UX and UI design projects from concept to final delivery.
  • Create meaningful, user-centered experiences through strategic design thinking.
  • Apply narrative thinking to craft engaging and purposeful digital experiences.
  • Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Create and maintain design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Review design work and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ensure consistency, usability, and visual quality across all deliverables.
  • Contribute to branding, visual identity, illustration, and conceptual design projects.

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Establish, refine, and improve internal workflows and processes.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, templates, and operational resources.
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR on process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain team documentation, project records, and operational systems.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team development activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or Digital Design.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Prior experience managing or leading a design team.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, resource allocation, and delivery management.
  • Experience leading client meetings, standups, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong conceptual design, branding, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into meaningful design solutions.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Experience reviewing and mentoring design work.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively improve processes.
