JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Director to join our leadership team. In this role, you will drive strategic corporate communications programs for a portfolio of B2B, retail and consumer clients while playing a meaningful role in growing the agency. You will serve as a senior day-to-day leader for your accounts, mentor a team of account professionals, and contribute to agency-wide initiatives, including new business development and internal operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Serve as senior strategic counsel to clients and develop a deep understanding of their business and communications objectives
  • Develop and oversee the execution of multi-channel communications strategies that drive meaningful results
  • Lead high-level media relations, cultivating relationships with top-tier journalists and editors
  • Manage and mentor account teams across multiple client engagements, supporting professional growth
  • Provide editorial oversight for all account deliverables, ensuring quality and strategic alignment
  • Partner with senior leadership on new business development, including prospecting, pitch preparation and presentations
  • Lead account scoping, budgeting and contract management
  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth and expanded client relationships
  • Contribute to agency positioning, thought leadership and industry visibility
  • Oversee complex event strategy and execution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or a related field
  • 7–10 years of progressive PR experience, with substantial agency experience and expertise in retail, fashion or consumer technology
  • A robust and active network of media relationships
  • Proven new business development experience
  • Strong people management skills and experience developing mid-level talent
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of developing and executing award-worthy communications campaigns
  • Proficiency with Cision, Business Wire and/or Critical Mention
