Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Director of Sustainability Transformation, you will join a capable and committed team driving the Sustainability agenda across Arc’teryx, globally. In this role, you will develop and orchestrate the sustainability governance processes, lead program management and drive cross-functional projects, leveraging your strategic toolbox and execution muscle. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance, ensuring that long-term transformation initiatives are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with business priorities. You will work hands-on with our Sustainability and Supply Chain teams; and engage a broad cast of internal and Amer Group stakeholders to enable and support delivery of our key strategic pillars for sustainability – Climate, Circularity and Worker Well Being.
This role is based in North Vancouver, BC or Portland, OR and open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or the United States.

Our Sustainability team is part of the broader Business Enablement organization. We collaborate across departments and with partners at Arc'teryx and Amer Sports to deliver meaningful progress towards our priority KPIs.
If you were the Director, Sustainability Transformation now, here are some of the core activities you would be leading:
- Integrating sustainability priorities with enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term growth ambitions, brand positioning, and operational roadmaps
- Leading cross-functional coordination, aligning priorities, timelines, and dependencies
- Translating sustainability strategy into measurable operational outcomes, with accountability for tracking, reporting, and continuously improving performance indicators
- Defining and maintaining program governance, including steering routines, decision frameworks, and risk management
- Contributing to the strategic growth of sustainability services
- Providing leverage to the key strategic pillars for sustainability
- Supporting change management and transparency (internally and externally)

- Collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities to integrate sustainability into core business processes
- Structuring and leading working groups to drive cross-functional projects
- Supporting the Sustainability VP on strategic priorities and critical deliverables
Are you our next Director, Sustainability Transformation?
- You have a minimum 10 years of experience in sustainability roles
- You are a clear and confident communicator, capable of synthesizing complexity for leadership
- You have deep experience leading teams and organizations through transformations
- You are commercially aware with the ability to link sustainability to business value
- You have experience leading and empowering teams and coaching sustainability professionals
- You are structured and drive decisions based on data and insights
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with a strong sense of ownership
- You have demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- You have strong influential leadership – navigating complex issues across all levels of the business and are skilled at managing stakeholder relationships
- You have a curious and creative mindset, co-creating solutions to navigate ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You have experience in the apparel or consumer goods industry with an understanding of the commercialization process

The salary range for this role is CAD$167,000-CAD$205,000
Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, your collaborations, and your impact at Arc’teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
