Are you highly organised, proactive, and ready to play a key role in keeping a fast‑moving partworks operation running smoothly? We’re looking for a Distribution & Logistics Executive to join our team, supporting the Distribution & Logistics Manager across a range of operational activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with up to 5 years’ experience who thrives in a varied role, enjoys problem‑solving and wants to develop their career in logistics and supply chain management.
In this role you will provide operational support for the distribution management of our publications in the UK ensuring a smooth flow of product throughout the supply chain (retail and subscription).
About the role :
With a strong focus on our UK and US markets, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties :
- Work with 3PL companies to deliver our magazines to the customer in the most efficient and cost effective manner
- Analysing retail and subscription sales to accurately in the UK and US to forecast future needs for our titles
- Maintain accurate stock management processes
- Update and maintain internal databases, ensuring information is accurate and accessible
- Control costs with effective negotiation skills
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Distribution & Logistics team
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners
- Reasonable ad hoc tasks as required
What we’re looking for :
- Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level, or have a background in a logistics and supply chain role
- Experience in the publishing industry is desirable, however candidates with a good knowledge of operational planning / management will be given due consideration.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and strong data analysis skills
- A high level of numeracy
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships effectively
- The ability to prioritise tasks and stay organised in a fast-paced environment is a must
