One email lands in the inbox of a subscription skincare customer who's a click away from churning. An hour later, another goes out to VIP shoppers on an athletic-wear brand's list, countdown timer ticking, Black Friday urgency stacked high. A third opens with a joke, because that's just how a scrappy, founder-led swimwear label talks to its people. Same morning, three completely different voices. You wrote all of them, and none of them sounded like the others.

This agency runs email and SMS for a stack of ecommerce brands at once and refuses to let any two sound the same. It's earned Klaviyo's Master Partner status (one of the highest tiers Klaviyo hands out), generated eight figures in trackable revenue across its portfolio, and pushed some clients past a 90% jump in repeat purchase rate, all while plenty of competitors are still high-fiving over open rates.

Now they are adding a strong Email Copywriter to the team to continue elevating their client’s growth.

This is a full-time, remote contractor role requiring some daily overlap with UK working hours (a minimum of 4 hours).

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO

  • Own the copy behind campaigns and flows for a fast-growing portfolio that leans subscription, health and wellness, with a few fashion brands mixed in, some backed by serious funding rounds
  • Make short copy carry real weight: design does a lot of the heavy lifting here, so most emails run under 200 words and every line has to earn its place
  • Adapt seamlessly between brands, nailing a completely different tone of voice, sometimes several times in the same day
  • Extend past the inbox into SMS, plain-text flows, loyalty messaging, and other retention touchpoints across the full customer lifecycle
  • Work from clear, strategist-written briefs, then bring the judgment that turns a brief into copy that actually converts, not just copy that fills the slot
  • Dig into deep research on each brand's products, customers, and competitors so copy is specific, not generic
  • Use AI to draft fast, then apply the attention to detail that keeps every send sounding human and on-brand, not like a prompt
  • Stay on top of trends across email, SMS, and the wider DTC space

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have proven email marketing copywriting experience, agency or in-house
  • You've got 3+ years of experience, including agency or fast-paced in-house environments where volume and adaptability were non-negotiable
  • You have a natural ear for tone of voice and can shift between brand personalities convincingly, sometimes several times in a single day
  • You're comfortable managing multiple accounts and workstreams at once without your quality dropping
  • You understand the practical difference between writing a campaign and writing a flow
  • You're familiar with Notion, Slack, and Figma or Miro
  • You have daily overlap availability with UK working hours

  • Worked specifically with subscription DTC brands
  • Mentored or trained other writers
