About The Role

We're looking for Environmental Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and train cutting-edge AI models by developing rigorous, real-world scientific problems that push the boundaries of machine reasoning.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for scientists who want to do meaningful work on their own schedule. No prior AI background needed — just deep domain expertise and a commitment to scientific rigor.

What You'll Do
- Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific depth
- Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to craft complex, meaningful problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning and accuracy
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for correctness, clarity, and rigor
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific integrity and communicative precision
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Environmental Science or a closely related field
- Strong expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, ecology, environmental sustainability, or earth systems science
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or quantitative analysis
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science without sacrificing accuracy
- Detail-oriented and methodical, with a genuine commitment to quality
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in scientific publishing, peer review, or academic research
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language model outputs
- Experience translating technical findings for non-specialist audiences
