Do you get a quiet thrill from a perfectly timed run sheet? Does a flawless awards ceremony feel like an art form to you? We're looking for an event professional who thrives on ownership, loves the craft of delivery, and keeps their cool when the pressure is on.
At Indesign Media, we produce some of Australia's most respected design industry events. This role puts you in the thick of that portfolio working across education programs, prestigious awards, and large-scale live events.
Events you'll work across
- CPD Live — Australia's leading CPD program for the design industry, running twice yearly with live and on-demand sessions
- Saturday Indesign — a flagship one-day event bringing together the country's top studios, brands and design professionals
- Habitus House of the Year — a prestigious awards program celebrating excellence in residential architecture and interior design across Asia Pacific
- Luxury Travel Gold List Awards — a highly regarded awards program recognising the best in luxury travel experiences, properties and operators worldwide
What you'll bring
- Proven experience delivering events, awards programs, or CPD/education initiatives
- Confidence managing platforms like Formstack, Zoom, and awards submission systems
- The ability to run multiple programs concurrently without dropping the ball
- Exceptional written communication — clear, professional, on-brand
- A solution-first mindset when things (inevitably) don't go to plan
The detail-oriented stuff
- Awards management — end-to-end program experience from category setup and submission intake through to jury coordination and results communication
- Virtual event delivery — confident running live sessions in Zoom, including pre-event testing, host management, and post-session uploads
- Speaker coordination — managing speakers from confirmation through to delivery, handling briefs, chasing assets, and keeping them well prepared
- Registration platforms — hands-on experience building and managing registrations in Formstack or similar, without needing hand-holding
- Stakeholder comms — clear and professional, adapting tone and detail depending on whether you're talking to a sponsor, a juror, or an internal team
- Run sheets & logistics — meticulous about the details that make events run smoothly, on-site and off
- CPD programs — familiarity with CPD structure and compliance, including certificate issuance and on-demand content delivery
- On-site event support — comfortable in the room on event day, managing suppliers and troubleshooting calmly under pressure
