Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As an Executive Assistant within our Regional Merchandising organization, you will support our Senior Vice President of Regional Merchandising and our Vice President of North America Merchandising. You are an expert in the art of organization, with a particular knack for scheduling, time and travel management, and providing the support necessary to help maximize their impact. Your prompt communication and proactive, solution-oriented approach ensure that the leader you support are positioned for success. Your natural adaptability allows you to flourish in an environment that often requires nimble rearrangements, and you consistently remain calm, cool and collected while balancing multiple priorities, including contribution to project coordination. You enjoy working within a high-paced and hyper-growth environment.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.  

Meet Your Future Team:

You will be working directly with the leaders you support within our Merchandising organization and will partner with a team of high-performing Executive Assistants in providing exceptional support to our senior leadership team across the organization. 

If you were in the Executive Assistant role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Providing exceptional executive administrative support with scheduling and calendar management with a proactive approach based on business priorities
  • Maintaining an organized inbox to ensure your leaders have the information they need right away
  • Organizing international and domestic travel arrangements
  • Developing agendas, meeting minutes, and presentation materials
  • Anticipating needs and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize the VPs’ time
  • Organizing onsite/offsite meetings and team building events, and coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors as needed in the execution of the event
  • Partnering with Finance to manage budget as needed 
  • Coordinating office management requests with our Facilities team and being present in the office for in-person support
  • Organizing and submitting expense reports in a timely manner
  • Setting your leaders up for success and performing additional duties as assigned and needed
  • Supporting Merchandising events as needed

  • Developing and implementing process optimizations to enable effective operations within the Merchandising teams
  • Assisting and communicating with the leaders you support in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation

Are you our next Executive Assistant?

  • You have 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting VP+ leaders
  • You are an expert with the Microsoft Office suite and have excellent business acumen
  • You have great time management skills, and naturally utilize sound judgement and prioritization when multi-tasking and juggling competing priorities within a fast paced environment
  • You have strong emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality  
  • You know how to prioritize and effectively manage the logistics of an Executive’s schedule: pre-reads, agendas and following up on action items are second nature to you
  • You have the ability to think outside of the box with a sense of urgency
  • You are not afraid of meeting new people, building relationships and creating partnerships across the organization
  • You have a not-so-secret skill as a travel agent and are able to manage complex international multi-leg travel, often requiring continuous changes and rescheduling
  • You are able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays occasionally as needed to support our global business
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 – CAD$102,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
