Role Description
The Exhibit Installer/Carpenter will be responsible for building, assembling, installing, and dismantling trade show exhibits and displays. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting blueprints and designs, handling materials and tools for assembly, ensuring the safety and quality of installations, and collaborating with the team to meet project timelines. This is a contract hybrid role, with work primarily located in Toronto, ON, but some tasks may be completed remotely as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in carpentry, woodworking, and the use of hand and power tools
- Experience with exhibit or display assembly, installation, and dismantling
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks, including lifting and assembling materials
- Flexibility to work onsite, including weekends and non-traditional hours as required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for projects
- Familiarity with safety guidelines in a construction or exhibit-setting environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel (Canada and USA)
