About The Role
We are currently seeking an F&B Hostess to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role serves as the welcoming face of the restaurant, ensuring every guest receives a warm greeting, a smooth seating experience, and an introduction to the outlet that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival at the restaurant, creating a positive first impression at all times.
- Manage table reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow and outlet capacity.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and provide a brief introduction to the outlet's concept and offerings.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date reservation log, coordinating with the Restaurant Manager on covers and special requests.
- Manage guest waitlists during peak periods, communicating wait times clearly and courteously.
- Coordinate closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth seating flow and timely table turnover.
- Handle guest enquiries, special occasion requests, and dietary or seating preferences with attentiveness and care.
- Ensure the host stand, entrance, and waiting area remain clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Bid farewell to departing guests warmly, ensuring a positive final impression of their dining experience.
- Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Hostess, Guest Service Agent, or similar guest-facing role, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanour.
- Strong organisational skills, particularly in managing reservations, seating, and guest flow.
- Working knowledge of restaurant reservation systems will be considered an advantage.
- A polished, professional appearance and confident guest interaction style.
- Ability to remain composed and courteous during high-volume or peak service periods.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
