Key Responsibilities: (What are the top 4 focus areas of the job, Safety First is required)

  • Carry out repair, disassembly, assembly, flushing, adjustment, and maintenance of the mechanical parts, units, and mechanisms of equipment;
  • Identify and eliminate defects during equipment operation and during inspection in the repair process;
  • Check accuracy and perform load testing of repaired equipment;
  • Perform painting, marking, and lubrication of the serviced equipment;
  • Take oil samples and replace oil;
  • Carry out disassembly, assembly, flushing, testing, lubrication, acceptance, and preventive maintenance of tools in use;
  • Perform rigging and slinging operations using lifting mechanisms and special devices;
  • Carry out mechanical fitting/bench work on equipment parts.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: (Add MAX 4 bullets of desired eligibility requirements)

  • Secondary vocational education;
  • At least 3 years of experience as a fitter for equipment repair and maintenance;
  • Experience in repairing construction and heavy equipment will be an advantage;
  • PC user skills.
