Job Description
- 2/1 Roster
- 12 hour days
- Full uniform, all meals, accommodation.
The Role:
Cater Care Services are seeking an experienced Handyperson with some utility knowledge to join one of our remote mining villages. You will be required to complete non-trade handyperson duties as well as assist the broader utility team where required.
What This Role Involves:
- Handyperson duties – replacing locks/door handles/washers and general camp maintenance
- Common Area Cleaning – emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
- Utility duties when required – Housekeeping and Kitchen Hand
- Load / unload truck on delivery day
- Gardening & Grounds Work
- Baggage handling
Desired Skills And Experience
What we require from you:
- Current Australian driver's license
- Forklift license (highly desirable)
- Dangerous Goods certificate (highly desirable)
- National Police Clearance within 6 months, or willing to obtain
- Previous experience as a handyperson
- Ability to work well with other team members
- Motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass a pre employment medical + drug & alcohol screening
- Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
