The Role: Curate the Dining Experience
Uga Resorts is seeking a visionary Food & Beverage Manager to take the helm of our F&B operations and elevate the culinary experience at Uga Bay in Pasikuda.
As the F&B Manager, your leadership will be instrumental in shaping unforgettable culinary journeys for our guests. You will bring a strong understanding of F&B operations, market trends, and cross-departmental alignment, seamlessly leading a dynamic dining operation in one of Sri Lanka’s key heritage luxury destinations. Your expertise will deliver the meticulous, impactful dining experiences that define our reputation as a premier luxury hospitality brand.
Your New Role:
- Drive the Food & Beverage division’s operational excellence and unparalleled guest satisfaction by systematically exceeding quality metrics across all dining venues, bar, and in-room service touchpoints.
- Establish meticulous service routines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a flawless workflow between the kitchen and the floor, guaranteeing a consistently elevated dining experience.
- Foster a high-performance F&B culture, actively mentoring your team to master their service skills, collaborate seamlessly, and contribute to a workplace built on mutual respect and precision.
- Manage daily restaurant and bar operations with an uncompromising eye for detail, curating the ambiance, table settings, and service flow to consistently transcend luxury guest expectations.
- Analyze guest dining feedback and operational metrics to proactively refine service timing, table management, and culinary delivery with actionable, on the-ground improvement strategies.
- Lead comprehensive operational planning, focusing on precise roster management, strategic resource allocation, and rigorous inventory control to ensure venues are flawlessly equipped for every service.
- Regularly evaluate F&B workflows and service delivery frameworks, executing agile, course correcting strategies to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure perfect back of house to front of house harmony.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational agility and team capability, proactively design training initiatives and process improvements that elevate the overall luxury standard of the resort.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- A minimum of 10+ years of progressive F&B experience inclusive of minimum 3 – 5 years of exposure in a F&B leadership role, ideally commanding culinary and service excellence within luxury hospitality, premium resorts, or high end dining environments.
- Exceptional strategic vision paired with the commanding floor presence required to direct complex dining logistics, seamlessly aligning human centric team development with flawless service execution.
- Proven, high level expertise in workflow engineering, standard operating procedure (SOP) refinement, and designing forward thinking operational strategies that scale quality and consistency across all venues.
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an empathetic leadership style that inspires trust, commands respect across the kitchen and restaurants, and builds deep operational harmony.
- A formal degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Operations, or a related field. Additional certifications in F&B operations, food safety (e.g. HACCP), or customer service are a plus.
