The Opportunity
Ringo is building a global connectivity platform powered by eSIM — seamless data, multiple numbers, and mobile identity that works across borders. One app, one plan, no SIM swapping.
We’re solving a problem millions of people deal with every time they travel or live internationally: bill shock, broken access to SMS and banking, and juggling SIMs across countries.
eSIM adoption is reaching an inflection point, but most products stop at cheap data. Ringo goes further — combining connectivity with identity, which is what actually breaks when people cross borders.
We’ve validated strong early demand and have the infrastructure in place to deliver globally. What we need now is the marketing leader who will take this to the world.
The Role
We are looking for a Founding CMO to own brand, growth, and category creation from day one.
This is a hybrid role — equal parts brand storyteller and growth operator. You will define how Ringo is perceived globally, build the engine that acquires and retains users at scale, and help shape an emerging category at the intersection of connectivity, identity, and cross-border living.
You will work directly with the founder on positioning, narrative, and go-to-market. You will turn a sharp product into a category-defining brand.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities🎨 Brand & Category Creation
Own how Ringo is seen, heard, and remembered. Define the brand voice, visual language, and narrative architecture. Build the category story around cross-border connectivity and identity. Position Ringo against legacy carriers, expensive roaming plans, and single-country eSIM products. Lead PR and earned media. Develop founder-led storytelling and ensure brand consistency from app store to out-of-home.
📈 Growth & Acquisition
Build the engine that turns awareness into paying users. Design and execute full-funnel growth across paid, organic, SEO, content, partnerships, and community. Own CAC, LTV, payback, and channel mix. Run rigorous experimentation across creative, channels, and audiences. Build the analytics and attribution stack, and scale what works without losing brand distinctiveness.
🌍 Go-to-Market & Launch
Lead Ringo’s global rollout. Define launch sequencing across markets and build the playbook for entering new countries. Shape messaging per geography and partner with product on landing pages, onboarding, and lifecycle.
🤝 Partnerships & Distribution
Build distribution beyond direct acquisition. Identify and close partnerships with travel platforms, fintechs, mobility apps, and global lifestyle brands. Structure co-marketing and unlock channels that compound over time.
👥 Team & Hiring
Build the marketing function from zero. Hire and lead marketers, designers, and content leads. Set the bar for craft, speed, and ambition, and build a team that produces work people remember.

– Track record building a consumer brand people genuinely care about
– Strong creative judgement — able to brief, edit, and ship standout work
– Experience with PR, earned media, and founder-led storytelling
– Instinct for category creation, not just competition
📈 Growth & Performance
– Proven experience scaling consumer acquisition with ownership of CAC and LTV
– Fluency across paid (Meta, Google, TikTok), organic (SEO, content), and community
– Strong analytical foundation — able to interpret cohorts and design experiments
– Comfortable navigating attribution complexity in global products
🌍 Operating Profile
– Senior marketing leadership at a high-growth consumer company (fintech, travel, mobility, telco, or similar)
– Experience building and leading high-performing teams
– Comfortable operating in early-stage ambiguity with founder-level ownership
– Multi-market or international experience strongly preferred

– Experience at category-defining consumer companies like Wise, Monzo, Airbnb, Uber, Booking.com
– Experience launching products across multiple countries with localized strategy
– Experience targeting international travellers, expats, or digital nomads
– Strong network across agencies, PR, and global consumer marketing talent
