Graphic Designer — Casual / Freelance Jobs in Perth, Western Australia, Australia at Orpheus Creative

Title: Graphic Designer — Casual / Freelance

Company: Orpheus Creative

Location: Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Company Description

In ancient myth, Orpheus was the artist whose music could move hearts, tame chaos, and sway the gods. At Orpheus Creative, we carry that same spirit into the modern world. We're a Perth-based creative agency working across strategy, design, digital advertising, and storytelling – helping brands find their voice and craft narratives that endure. We believe creativity is more than design; it's influence, transformation, and resonance. Every campaign, every visual, every word is shaped with intention – built to move audiences, not just metrics.

Role Description

We're looking for a casual or freelance Graphic Designer to join the Orpheus team for approximately 8–10 hours per week. This role is remote-first with the option to work from our Osborne Park studio when needed. Ideal for someone in their final year of uni or TAFE, building a freelance practice, or simply after quality creative work that fits around their life.

You'll work closely with our marketing and social team across a varied client portfolio, producing ad and social graphics, product mockups, brochures and marketing materials, brand and logo design, and visual assets built to live inside video content. We want someone who expands on the brief: who brings texture, narrative, and intention to their work, not just execution.

There's also real potential for this to grow into something more permanent down the track for part-time or full-time.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience in branding, logo design, and working within established design systems
  • Strong eye for composition, typography, and visual storytelling
  • Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and communicate clearly
  • Comfortable taking feedback and iterating quickly
  • Experience in a creative or marketing environment is a plus
  • Motion or video graphics skills (After Effects, Premiere, or similar) highly regarded but not essential

If you're the kind of designer who sees a brief as a starting point, not a ceiling, who finds the story hiding inside every project and loses sleep over the details that most people miss – you'll fit right in here.

Access to your own device (laptop, desktop, or iPad) and software for remote work is required.
