About The Role

We are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent (Receptionist) to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is often the first and last point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering warm, efficient, and personalised service at every stage of the guest journey, from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle guest reservations, walk-ins, and room assignments in coordination with the Reservations team.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, and concerns, escalating where necessary.
  • Process payments, billing, and cash handling accurately in accordance with Hotel financial procedures.
  • Provide accurate information on hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and update profiles in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Support VIP arrivals, group check-ins, and special guest requests with attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Handle emergency procedures, including fire alarms and evacuations, in line with Hotel protocols.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Guest Service Agent, Receptionist, or Front Desk Agent, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and reservation processes.
  • Working knowledge of Opera PMS or similar property management systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
  • A warm, guest-focused personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in billing, cash handling, and guest record accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
