Location: Northeast preferred or East of the Mississippi (PA or NY ideal) with ~30–50% travel

A leading craft beverage company is hiring a Head of Business Development, Co-packing to build and scale its co-packing business. This is a true ground-floor opportunity to create and own a new revenue stream within an established, highly respected operator with significant production capacity and state-of-the-art capabilities across beer, RTD, cider, and adjacent beverage categories. This is not an account management role. Our client is looking for a proven business development background who knows the co-packing landscape and can generate, structure, and close new business.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and convert a pipeline of co-packing opportunities from scratch
  • Identify where market demand exists and align it with facility capabilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach through contract execution and onboarding
  • Structure deals that optimize margin, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with operations, QA, and leadership to ensure successful execution
  • Establish the company as a go-to co-packing partner in the market

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in beverage co-packing, contract manufacturing, or related commercial roles
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing complex deals
  • Strong understanding of co-packing economics, pricing, and production constraints
  • Existing industry relationships and knowledge of where volume exists
  • Highly external-facing, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from zero
