About the role:

We're looking for a strong client services operator who can also serve as a strategic and creative partner to our clients. This role combines client relationship ownership, team leadership, delivery coordination, and marketing and creative strategy.

You'll work directly with B2B founders and marketing leaders to understand their goals, manage expectations, and ensure Compound consistently delivers work that moves the needle. You'll lead a small account management team while personally owning a portfolio of high-value accounts.

The ideal candidate brings a strong Client Services and Account Management foundation and also genuine creative instincts. We’re looking for someone who can run a seamless client experience and translate a founder's ideas into sharp creative briefs, compelling positioning, and content that converts client vision into actionable deliverables for our internal creative team to execute.

What you’ll do:

Own the Client Relationship

  • Personally own a portfolio of high-value accounts while strategically distributing remaining accounts across your two AMs (serving in an advisory capacity)
  • Run monthly business reviews and quarterly strategy sessions with the leadership team
  • Build a client health scoring system and proactively surface risks before they become churn
  • Own Client renewals and identify and escalate upsell opportunities with the leadership team
  • In partnership with our HOC/SVP Ops, develop a repeatable client onboarding process that gets new clients to value fast while maintaining quality

Coordinate Creative Delivery

  • Serve as the bridge between clients and our content team: translate client needs into clear creative direction and actionable deliverables for content and creative assets.
  • In partnership with the SVP Ops (internal PM team) Own the delivery timeline for every account and ensure nothing slips
  • Refine and build  SOPs for account management: kickoff workflows, approval cadences, escalation paths
  • Manage and reinforce internal business rules around the client-side feedback and approval process to keep revision cycles tight

Drive Strategy

  • Feed client insights back to the content and leadership teams to improve our service
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on pricing, packaging, and service evolution
  • Track and report on retention, NPS, and revenue metrics

Lead & Develop Your Team

  • Manage two account managers and develop them into strategic client relationship leads
  • Coach your AMs on client communication, expectation management, and proactive relationship building
  • Build playbooks and training materials so the function scales as we grow

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in client success, account management, or similar roles.
  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience managing a team
  • Experience overseeing a roster of 10-20+ clients
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with SaaS, tech, or product-led companies
  • Comfortable leading client conversations and guiding direction
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts without sacrificing quality
  • Direct experience in an agency or startup environment

Compensation and logistics:

  • Experience: 5-7 years
  • Comp: $110,000-140,000
  • Location: Remote, US-based
  • Reports to: SVP Operations, Dotted line to CEO and HOC
