Overview
Head of Production Jobs in London, England, United Kingdom at KitMapper
Title: Head of Production
Company: KitMapper
Location: London, England, United Kingdom
THE ROLE
The Head of Production is a senior leadership role at the heart of KitMapper’s operations. The person in this role will shape how KitMapper delivers its work in museums, galleries and immersive, how its production team grows and thrives, and how clients and collaborators experience the organisation.
Based in London, the Head of Production will lead all production activities end-to-end: from the initial creative brief through planning, resource allocation, and on-site delivery. They will carry forward the operational excellence of the Production team while bringing a strategic, culture-conscious perspective to the team.
This role is grounded in strong, real-world practical skills. KitMapper’s work is delivered in complex, public-facing environments where planning only succeeds when it’s informed by hands-on experience. The Head of Production will need to understand, and be able to confidently interrogate, the practical realities of installation and event delivery: access, installation and fixing methods, power distribution, troubleshooting, crew workflow, and the small decisions that protect quality and safety under pressure.
We believe that everyone is responsible for the culture they create; and this role will be pivotal in setting the tone. How we treat each other, how we show up for clients, and how we approach our craft all fall within the remit of this position. The Head of Production will be a standard-bearer for KitMapper’s values and a model for what excellent, human-centred leadership looks like.
