This position reports to the Newsroom Managing Editor and focuses on local news production. You’ll interview sources, generate story ideas, and ensure high-quality content is aired across platforms. Collaborate with a talented newsroom team to craft reports that engage the audience effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interview and report on local news for broadcasts
• Develop and script engaging news stories
• Shoot and edit video footage for local reporting
• Anchor as needed during news broadcasts
• Collaborate closely with newsroom and production staff
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Proven writing and editorial skills
• Experience with ENG equipment and editing
• Ability to deliver live broadcasts smoothly
• Valid driver’s license required
