The Role

As a Junior Social Media Producer, your mission will be to grow the social media audience of Totem’s iconic brands.

You’re someone who lives and breathes YouTube and Facebook, and is excited by the world of digital content. Whether through work, personal projects, freelancing or side hustles, you’ve spent the last couple of years building hands-on experience with social platforms and are eager to keep learning and growing in the space.

A Day In The Life:

  • Execute the content strategy for your channels and proactively optimise it to drive improved performance
  • Build and nurture engaged communities of superfans around your content
  • Create high-performing thumbnails, titles, and copy that maximise click-through and drive discovery
  • Analyse channel performance, surface actionable insights, and implement improvements to drive stronger results
  • Collaborate with your video editors to consistently deliver high-quality, engaging content
  • Stay ahead of the curve on social trends, platforms and product updates, and translate these into opportunities for growth

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Some hands-on experience working with YouTube and Facebook, whether through previous roles, freelance work, internships, personal projects or side hustles
  • A strong interest in social video and content performance, with an understanding of what helps audiences grow and engage online
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to craft compelling titles and captions
  • A good eye for design, with the ability to brief in eye-catching, high-performing thumbnails
  • Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A professional and collaborative approach when working with colleagues and clients
  • Some experience using social analytics and insights to understand content performance and help guide content decisions and improvements
  • Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong accountability for your work
