Position: Lead Animator for Animated Musical Feature
Take charge of character animation for Industrial Light & Magic’s ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go’ in Vancouver. This hybrid position allows you to work onsite and from home while shaping magical storytelling.
As a Senior Feature Animator, you will be responsible for executing captivating performances that resonate emotionally with audiences. With your proven experience, you will contribute to complex shots and mentor emerging animators, ensuring the film’s creative vision is realized effectively. Your insights will directly impact the project’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and animate stylized characters with emotional depth
• Follow directions from the Lead Animator and supervisors
• Own key sequences, maintaining performance quality
• Supervise and train junior animators on techniques
• Actively engage in dailies to enhance animation quality
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant animation experience
• Showcase of skills through a demo reel
• Strong organizational and communication capabilities
• Proficiency in Maya and familiarity with Linux
• Deep understanding of animation and film principles
