Lighting & Video Technician
PERMANENT, FULL-TIME CONTRACT
As our Lighting & Video Technician, you'll be hands-on at the heart of every production — designing and running the lighting and video that bring our stages to life, show after show.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and implement the CMA’s stage lighting infrastructure during shows, ensuring seamless execution.
• Design, create, and implement lighting plans for diverse productions.
• Plan and execute technical setups for events, including personnel coordination and lighting/video equipment management.
• Supervise and guide lighting installation and teardown crews.
• Assist visiting technicians, stage managers, artists, and external production teams.
• Produce video content, including recording and editing.
• Maintain lighting, video, rigging, and stage equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Support planning of upcoming lighting investments and new lighting/video projects for both stage and building infrastructure.
• Contribute to the training and development of CMA apprentices.
Profile
• Proven training and at least 10 years' professional experience in lighting and video technologies.
• Solid knowledge of stage equipment and extensive experience with modern lighting control systems.
• Proficiency with lighting design and simulation software (e.g. CAD, Vectorworks).
• Background in electrical systems and rigging.
• Experience supervising and managing artistic productions and live events.
• Experience working at height.
• Skills in digital networks or other areas of stage production.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing production needs, with the ability to lead and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
• Fluency in Luxembourg’s usual languages and an excellent command of English.
