Our Beauty client is seeking a Marketing Assistant/Coordinator to join their team for the next 2 months, 40 hours/week. This role is hybrid onsite 3 days a week in New York City.
Role Summary
The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives across the beauty and fragrance category. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing market and internal business data, coordinating product samples and shipments, supporting retailer programs, maintaining inventory organization, and assisting with key business presentations and meetings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, passionate about beauty and fragrance, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position requires in-office presence in New York a minimum of three days per week.
Top Must Have Skills
1-2 years of marketing experience, preferably within beauty, fragrance, or consumer products
Strong analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, and interpreting data
Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Passion for beauty and fragrance with a strong interest in market and competitive trends
Additional Qualifications
Marketing experience within the beauty, fragrance, luxury, or retail industry preferred
Experience supporting retailer programs, product launches, or marketing operations is a plus
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and functions
Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently while contributing to team objectives
Ability to gather and synthesize competitive intelligence and consumer insights

Responsibilities
Collect and analyze competitive market intelligence and internal business data to support decision-making
Assist with data collection and reporting for major meetings, global presentations, and business memos
Coordinate full-size and sample product shipments for retailer programs, magazine features, photoshoots, meetings, and other marketing initiatives
Maintain and organize product inventory, including oversight of product closet stock and support of third-party storage vendor organization
Provide marketing inputs and product information required for SKU and code creation to support product launches and market readiness
Track purchase orders and support the end-to-end PO process, ensuring accurate documentation and cost reconciliation
Manage retailer sample requests by providing product images, weights, ingredient information, and shipment coordination
Order and distribute samples for retailer and marketing programs as required
Prepare products and supporting materials for retailer meetings, including advance shipments, assembly of meeting kits, and onsite coordination
Conduct in-store competitive research to gather real-time insights, product information, and imagery for presentations and business reviews
Support cross-functional teams with administrative and operational marketing activities as needed
Ensure timely execution of projects while maintaining accuracy and a high standard of quality across all deliverables.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
