About The Role

We're looking for Materials Science specialists — Masters and PhD-level experts — to work alongside leading AI research teams and help build the next generation of scientifically rigorous AI models.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just a strong command of materials science and the ability to think through complex, real-world problems with precision.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to craft complex, nuanced problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, rigor, and depth
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning
  • Ensure scientific clarity and correctness across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or equivalent research domains
  • Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research applications
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong written communication skills in English
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
  • Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Background in academic research, technical writing, or peer review
  • Familiarity with AI tools or scientific evaluation platforms
