MOBILE GAMES STUDIO Jobs in Greater Aarhus Area at Rapidfire Games
Title: MOBILE GAMES STUDIO
Company: Rapidfire Games
Location: Greater Aarhus Area
About The Position
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Unity Developer to join the Backpack Brawl team. You’ll be a key contributor in building and maintaining responsive, polished, and performant UI systems in Unity. Working closely with game designers, artists, and other developers, you’ll help turn UX designs into seamless in-game experiences, while contributing to technical architecture and implementation strategies across multiple projects.
You’ll be responsible for implementing UI flows, optimizing usability and performance, and ensuring that complex systems are intuitive, accessible, and fun for players.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with UI/UX Designers, Game Designers, and fellow Engineers to develop and polish frontend features and UI systems.
- Translate wireframes, mockups, and design systems into fully functional, scalable Unity UI implementations using uGUI or UI Toolkit.
- Handle edge cases and user interactions with thoughtful, modular code — ensuring smooth experiences across devices.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components, prefabs, and architecture that align with the evolving needs of the game.
- Optimize UI performance and memory usage, and troubleshoot layout, input, and animation issues.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to UX decisions from a technical perspective.
- Support multiple game projects at varying stages, from early prototypes to live operations.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend or UI development for Unity games.
- Deep understanding of Unity UI systems (uGUI, UI Toolkit, layout groups, animation, event systems, etc.).
- Strong experience working with nested prefabs, ScriptableObjects, and data-driven UI architecture.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing technical and design requirements.
- A collaborative mindset — you’re comfortable pairing with designers and artists to bring ideas to life and solve UX challenges.
- A solid grasp of responsive design, usability, accessibility, and visual hierarchy in games.
- Clear and proactive communication — you can explain technical solutions and limitations to non-engineers.
- A passion for polished, intuitive UI and a strong attention to visual detail.
- Familiarity with Figma, Zeplin, or similar tools used for handoff and UI specs.
- Bonus: experience with animation tools like Unity Timeline or Spine for UI motion and feedback.
- Bonus: experience integrating A/B testing, player telemetry, or user feedback into frontend decisions.
What We Offer
- A collaborative, experienced team that values craft and creativity.
- Opportunities to have a direct impact on game features and player experience.
- The ability to work across multiple projects in different production phases (live, concept, prototyping).
- A player-focused development environment that values iteration and community feedback.
- A culture that encourages autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning — including exploring AI and emerging tech in workflows.
