The CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking an experienced Host for their Peel Bureau. You will write, present, and produce news content for various platforms, emphasizing community engagement.
Your role will include live reporting, interviewing, and interactive storytelling to connect local viewers with pressing issues and emotional stories from throughout the Peel region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and host daily news headline packages across digital platforms
• Conduct research and interviews, shoot and edit video content
• Report live on-breaking news with analysis and context
• Develop relationships with community sources to enhance storytelling
• Participate in outreach activities to grow audience connections
Requirements:
• Minimum five years experience in a daily multiplatform news environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing news situations
• Knowledge of CBC journalistic standards and ethics
• University degree in a related field or equivalent experience
