Job Description
Position Summary:
The Orchestra Instructor will provide an effective instrumental music education to students; duties include all aspects of the band organization, auditions, programming, and rehearsing all music for performances.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the student body and encourage participation in orchestra activities.
- Plan, rehearse and direct musical experiences for the school with scheduled performances per school year.
- Oversee scheduling and other arrangements for rehearsals and concerts.
- Order supplies and materials necessary for band related activities in accordance with established procedures and budget allocations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- One (1) year teaching experience preferred.
- Certification in Music (P-12) through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission required.
