Your primary mission is to ensure Brazilian Lumber is the #1 choice in every physical market we serve. You will lead our Local SEO and Google Business Profile (GMB) strategy to dominate the "Map Pack," while using a sophisticated AI-augmented content engine to capture and nurture leads. You don't just want us to rank; you want us to be the most reviewed, most engaged, and most visible local supplier, converting that local trust into revenue via automated Email & SMS funnels.
Duties and Responsibilities
- P&L & Funnel Optimization: You are responsible for the entire organic revenue funnel. For example, for SEO, you don't just track rankings; you manage the progression from Ranking → Traffic → Clicks → Conversions → Revenue. You must demonstrate a P&L mindset, treating organic growth as a high-ROI financial engine where every piece of content is measured by its contribution to the bottom line.
- GMB/Local Search Mastery: Own and optimize all Google Business Profiles. This is your primary KPI. You will manage location audits, high-frequency GMB posting, photo/video updates, and Review Management to ensure we maintain a 4.8+ star reputation and maximum visibility in the "Map Pack."
- Local Intent SEO & AEO: Rank for "Lumber near me" and specialized product queries. Use Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to ensure AI search tools (Perplexity, ChatGPT) recommend our specific locations to local builders.
- AI-Augmented Content Engine: Leverage Gemini and Claude to ideate and scale local-specific content. You will "prompt engineer" AI to write localized GMB updates, neighborhood-specific blogs, and Pinterest captions that resonate with regional architectural styles.
- Omnichannel Retention (Email & SMS): Manage the "Lead-to-Cash" journey.
- Email: Use for contractor education, project showcases, and weekly price lists.
- SMS: Use for urgent local alerts, quote readiness notifications, and "flash" inventory drops at specific locations.
- Digital PR & Local Citations: Build brand authority by securing mentions in regional trade journals and managing a clean, consistent citation footprint. You will actively manage the brand’s presence in Reddit and Quora communities (e.g., r/HomeImprovement, r/Architecture), establishing the company as the "Subject Matter Expert" by answering technical questions and driving high-intent referral traffic.
- Commercial Performance Tracking: You are measured by Local Conversions (calls, direction requests, quote forms) and Retention Revenue (LTV from the Email/SMS list).

Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years in a growth-focused role with a dual emphasis on Local SEO (GMB/Map Pack) and Traditional/Technical SEO.
- Proven Track Record: Must demonstrate a history of moving local listings into the "Top 3" Map Pack for competitive local terms. Must show success in ranking domain pages and blogs for broad, high-volume organic keywords to drive national/e-commerce traffic.
- Tech-Forward Mindset: You must demonstrate how you use AI (Gemini/Claude) and automation to manage multiple locations and produce high-volume, high-quality SEO content effectively.
- Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
- Experience or interest in construction / building materials will be a plus
