Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paper Bag Machine Operator role based in Kandy city. The operator will set up, run, and monitor paper bag manufacturing machines, ensuring efficient production and minimal downtime. Daily tasks include feeding materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic maintenance, and using hand tools for minor repairs and alignment. The role involves inspecting finished products, identifying defects, and following quality control standards to meet company specifications. The operator will also maintain a clean and safe work area, follow safety procedures, and communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong Machine Operation skills with experience working with industrial Machinery.
- Knowledge of Quality Control processes for inspecting products and ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Ability to safely and effectively use Hand Tools for adjustments, basic maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting production or safety concerns.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or packaging operations, preferably with paper products.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle repetitive tasks, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic educational background; vocational training in machine operation or related field is an advantage.
