We're building something special in women's football — and we want you on the team.
Port Melbourne Chargers Women's Football Club is an amateur women's club competing in the VAFA. Founded in 2025 and fielding a Premier B side this season, we've got big ambitions to grow. We're building a legacy that elevates women in sport, drives excellence on and off the field, and brings our community together.
To power our growth, we're recruiting passionate volunteers for several key committee roles.
▶ Partnerships & Business Network Committee Member
This one's for a strategic relationship-builder who loves Community and supports women in leadership. You'll help shape the commercial future of the Club, identifying, cultivating and managing relationships with like minded businesses, community leaders and strategic partners to strengthen our funding base and create lasting value.
What you'll do:
- Develop a partnerships and business engagement strategy to support our growth into a thriving multi-team club
- Explore innovative models-shared-value partnerships, grant-matched sponsorships and social-impact collaborations
- Build relationships across corporate, education, local business and philanthropy
- Lead networking events and help craft the pitches that bring our vision to life
You will bring experience or a willingness to learn and build your skills and experience in: commercial acumen, partnerships, sponsorship, stakeholder management or business development. Familiarity with not-for-profits or community sport is a bonus, not a must. Note for all our committee and key leadership roles we invest in you with our Clifton Strengths leadership Charging Forward program.
We're also on the lookout for:
- Player Recruitment — help us find, attract and welcome the players who'll define our team
- Marketing & Social Media — tell our story, grow our presence and build the Chargers brand
The details:
- Volunteer roles, roughly 2–4 hours per week with flexibility around event peaks
- Some out-of-hours engagement for meetings and networking
- A genuine chance to expand your professional network, build experience in stakeholder engagement and strategic growth, and join an inclusive, values-led committee
