The Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team. This is an entry-level role, ideal for candidates with basic pastry knowledge and hands-on experience in preparing soft serve bases and other dessert preparations. The role involves assisting in daily production while maintaining quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare soft serve ice cream bases as per standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in inventory handling and proper storage of ingredients.
- Support senior chefs during production and service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and equipment.
- Follow SOPs and report any quality or equipment issues to seniors.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of pastry and dessert production
- Diploma/Certificate in Bakery & Pastry Arts preferred
- Willingness to learn and take instructions
- Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ice cream experience is a bonus.
Compensation
Negotiable, based on experience.
