Position Summary
The President is responsible for leading the overall performance and strategic direction of a global, engineering-driven manufacturing business specializing in highly technical, application-specific products. This executive will oversee revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness across multiple international sites. Reporting to senior corporate leadership, the President will drive long-term value creation through innovation, deep technical engagement with customers, and disciplined execution in complex, performance-critical markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with technologically complex markets and evolving customer requirements
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and margin expansion through differentiated, engineered product offerings
- Lead the advancement of high-precision manufacturing capabilities and technology-enabled solutions
Commercial & Business Development
- Define and implement strategies to expand market share within technically demanding applications and industries
- Partner closely with commercial and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into scalable product solutions
- Engage directly with customers on technically complex opportunities, ensuring alignment between product capabilities and application needs
Customer & Market Focus
- Foster a deeply technical, customer-centric culture focused on solving complex engineering challenges
- Build long-term relationships with customers where product performance, reliability, and integration are critical
- Anticipate market and technology trends, aligning internal capabilities with next-generation application requirements
Technology & Product Innovation
- Champion innovation across engineering and product development, emphasizing performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Oversee the full lifecycle of engineered products—from concept, design validation, and testing through commercialization
- Ensure strong alignment between R&D, customer application requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps
Operational Excellence
- Lead global operations to deliver high-quality, precision-engineered products with consistency and efficiency
- Align manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain capabilities to support complex product requirements and scalable growth
- Drive continuous improvement in quality systems, process control, and technical manufacturing capabilities
Financial Performance
- Own full P&L responsibility, balancing investment in engineering and innovation with disciplined financial performance
- Establish metrics that reflect both financial outcomes and technical performance (quality, reliability, yield)
- Identify opportunities to improve margins through engineering-driven cost optimization and process improvements
People & Culture Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team with strong engineering, operational, and commercial expertise
- Foster a culture that values technical rigor, innovation, and accountability
- Attract and develop talent capable of operating at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and customer application support
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; technical or engineering discipline strongly preferred
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or technical master’s) preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a technical manufacturing or engineered products environment
- Demonstrated success leading a business with full P&L responsibility in application-driven or performance-critical markets
- Experience managing global operations supporting complex, specification-driven products
