Role Description The Print Production Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Thunder Bay, ON. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day print production activities, including operating and maintaining printers, coordinating print jobs, and ensuring high-quality output for a range of customer needs. The specialist reviews print specifications, prepares files for printing, monitors production timelines, and troubleshoots equipment or workflow issues. Daily tasks include collaborating with customers and internal team members, advising on print options and finishes, and ensuring that orders are completed accurately and on schedule. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized production area, following safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement in print processes.
Qualifications
- Print production and printing skills, with experience coordinating and executing print jobs from start to finish.
- Knowledge of print design principles and the ability to work with design files to ensure proper formatting and quality.
- Hands-on experience with printers and related equipment, including basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide guidance on print solutions.
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site production environment and collaborating with a small team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office and print-related software; experience with graphic or layout software is an asset.
- Previous experience in print production, print shop, or related environment preferred; training or education in printing or graphic communications is an asset.
